Biography

Jim DiNoia.

Partner and Chief Executive Officer of PathOne Data Centers.

Jim DiNoia is a data center executive and Partner and Chief Executive Officer of PathOne Data Centers. His career spans nearly three decades of mission-critical infrastructure.

His work connects the physical requirements of a data center with the people responsible for delivering it: designers, construction teams, utilities, facility operators, and development partners.

From the early internet onward

In 1997, as a program manager at Carlson Design Construct, Jim helped deliver 60 Point-of-Presence locations for GTE and Genuity. These were facilities supporting the internet’s expanding network. His background also includes technology facilities for DLJ Direct, Citizens Financial, and Fleet Bank.

Bisnow’s 2020 event biography describes Jim’s role on the team building 60 early network sites for GTE and Genuity.

That early work formed part of a career extending across enterprise infrastructure, financial facilities, colocation, cloud, and hyperscale environments.

Design, construction, and live operations

Jim’s background includes architectural and engineering delivery work at Integrated Design Group. At CBRE / State Street, he directed development and operational upgrades to critical facilities, including power, cooling, and primary systems.

He subsequently served as Vice President at AECOM Tishman and Project Executive at STO Mission Critical. Those roles involved complex delivery, client relationships, and coordination among regional teams.

Leadership at PathOne

As Partner and CEO, Jim applies that experience to PathOne’s regional data center development model. The company focuses on bringing power, suitable land, and connectivity together, beginning with practical 10 MW phases.

The work requires coordination across infrastructure, project delivery, and local requirements. Expansion depends on the conditions of each site, including available power, customer needs, land, and approvals.

PathOne’s rural focus also places community considerations alongside the technical development process. Questions about power, water, noise, and local impact form part of evaluating a proposed facility.
